Know where the business stands, and what to do next.
Why it exists
Most owner-managers see their full financial picture once a year, months after the year has ended. By then, the decisions that shaped the results have already been made.

Business Clarity changes the timing. You see what is happening in the business while there is still time to act on it, and you have someone to think the next decision through with before it is made.

What is included
A monthly commentary on your numbers
Each month you receive your management accounts with a plain-English explanation of what has changed, what is going well and where pressure may be building. You get a short, readable summary, not a pack of reports to decode.
A forward-looking meeting each quarter
Every quarter we sit down together, in person or online, and look ahead: trading, cash flow, tax and the decisions coming up over the next few months. You leave with clear actions and an agreed owner for each one.
An annual business health review
Once a year we step back and look at the business as a whole: profitability, value, reliance on key people or customers, how you take money from the company, and progress towards longer-term plans for growth, succession or exit.
Access to advice between meetings
When something comes up between meetings, such as a new hire, a large purchase or a change in how you pay yourself, you can talk it through with someone who already knows the background. The level of access is agreed at the start, so you know what to expect.
Your compliance work
Annual accounts, corporation tax, VAT, payroll and the directors' personal tax returns are handled as part of the relationship, so the reporting and the compliance are built on the same figures.

Who it suits
Business Clarity works best for an established business, usually with turnover of £500,000 or more, where the owner:

-
is making decisions with real financial consequences, such as recruiting, investing, buying premises or bringing in a shareholder
-
wants to understand performance during the year, not after it
-
is starting to think about what the business is worth, or about succession or exit
-
wants one adviser who understands both the business and the owner's personal position
It is less suitable for a business with simple needs that requires little beyond annual compliance. For those businesses, our core accounting and tax service may be a better fit.
What a year looks like
Setting up.
We review your Xero setup and bookkeeping, agree the measures that matter most to your business and set the reporting and meeting calendar for the year.
Every quarter.
A meeting to review the last three months and plan for the next three, with agreed actions.
Every month.
Management accounts and a written commentary.
Once a year.
The business health review, alongside the year-end accounts and tax work, and a look at the year ahead.
Fees
Business Clarity is charged as a fixed monthly fee, agreed after our initial conversation. The fee reflects the size and complexity of the business and the level of support you need, and typically starts from £1,800 per month.
The work we do for you can be adapted and expanded as needed. If a larger project falls outside the agreed scope, we explain the work and agree the fee arrangements with you prior to starting.
